Medical Grooming

We offer medically necessary grooming which includes nail trims, anal gland expression, sanitary clips and mat removal, with sedation if necessary. Regularly expressing your pet's anal gland when they cannot will help your pet to avoid a painful infection. Trimming nails can prevent joint pain, stiffness, and chiropractic problems. Certain breeds—especially those with long hair that mats easily—may need assistance keeping themselves clean. Animals that are older or have physical disabilities may also benefit from our medically necessary grooming services. If your pet is having trouble taking care of regular grooming, it can be a sign of an underlying health issue. Be sure to mention this when you schedule an appointment. You can also call us anytime to discuss your concerns. In addition to providing medically necessary grooming, we can teach you techniques to help you maintain your pet at home. And feel free to ask for a product recommendation for pet-safe shampoos and other grooming products in our treatment area.
